Criteria for: Rainwater Harvesting Equipment, Rainwater Storage Vessels
Rainwater Storage Vessels
To be eligible for inclusion on the Water Technology List the equipment must meet the following definition:
A storage vessel with a calmed inlet and overflow facility, that is intended for the storage of rainwater in a rainwater harvesting system, and which may include (if present) a submersible electrical pump and/or an integrated filter. This must be a rainwater filter intended for the removal of organic matter (e.g. leaves and debris), via filtration (mesh size <1.25mm), from rainwater collected prior to storage in a rainwater harvesting system.
Manufacturers should apply to Defra with evidence that their products meet these criteria in order to appear on the Water Technology List.
